Mill-Max Mfg. Corp. is a vertically integrated engineering and manufacturing company capable of producing over 100 million interconnect components a week, making us the largest manufacturer of precision machined interconnect components in North America.
Established in 1971 by current Chairman of the Board, Roger Bahnik, Mill-Max began as a supplier of gears and hobs used in timing devices for defense electronics, watches, and parking meters. As the electronics industry grew in the 1980’s, Mill-Max established itself as a key supplier of machined pins and receptacles to companies manufacturing cables, IC sockets, and pin headers, before adding in house injection molding capabilities and developing its own line of machined pin interconnects. Later, Mill-Max expanded its product line further by developing its own spring-loaded contacts particularly known for their long cycle life and low contact resistance.
Mill-Max manufactures a wide variety of interconnect components. Our product line includes precision-machined contact pins and receptacles, spring-loaded contacts & connectors, PCB pins & solder terminals, IC sockets, and board-to-board interconnects, all available in SMT and through-hole. Mill-Max has a tradition of exercising total control from raw materials to finished product. Our 150,000 square foot plant, located in Oyster Bay, NY, houses all facilities including: engineering, customer service, sales & marketing, and all manufacturing operations.
Mill-Max is particularly distinguished by its Customer driven philosophy. While we offer thousands of standard products in our catalog and website, we recognize that there are times when one size does not fit all, and welcome custom designs, regardless of volume. Our proprietary high-speed turning machines have the flexibility to be easily and quickly re-configured to make machined contacts in varied sizes and shapes. This allows our in-house applications and manufacturing engineers to work in conjunction with you to assist with any application specific design. During production, our experienced Quality Control Inspectors ensure your product is made to your exact specifications every time, from a few hundred pieces into the millions.
